It did even seem to have a little warmer sound? Maybe just me: Original Fiber skin head in excellent condition. I played it up against a Gibson RB250 Mastertone and it held its own.
I just put a set of new Vega Mediums on it and it really sings. Bell brass tone ring and the solid woods of the upper level OMEs but is plain looking. This is the no frills models as far as carvings. Produced in the 70's when OME was a new company and these were all just about hand made. This is a Beautiful Used OME 5 String Banjo.
